The Strap Optimized Accessory Platform (SOAP) is a comfortable, lightweight, and expandable mounting solution, for integrating The True North Concepts Modular Holster Adaptor (MHA) with battle belts. The SOAP replaces the MHAs aluminum mounting struts, relieving hotspots and discomfort caused by these bars pressing into the users side, when mounted over their belt (as recommended by the manufacturer.)
 
In attempting to make a more comfortable and lightweight mounting solution, for rigid and hard use accessories (i.e. The 6061 T6 Al MHA), a specific and unique design approach was needed. Creating an attachment that provided more comfort, for the end user, meant readdressing the basic physical forces that a belt mounted accessory experiences, and leveraging the strengths of cutting edge materials, to mitigate the detrimental nature of such phyiscal forces; Enter Milliken Tegris®. This cutting edge Thermoplastic Composite provides a level of stiffness, unparraleled by virtually any other "soft good" thermoplastic. Used in conjunction with Brookwood® SQUADRON™ 1000D/500D laminate fabric, the pairing makes for a highly impact resistant, product that is less proned to fatigue and distortion, through use, as well as excelling in outdoor/harsh environments.
 
Now, there's no such thing as a "free lunch"; entropy is inescapable. A primary benefit of the S.O.A.P. is the ability to replace the highest wear portion: the interior Velcro OneWrap. All material will eventually fail, under the exact right circumstances, and those can only be accounted for, to a suppositional degree, outside of large scale testing. I am only one man, with a small group of friends in the industry, for gathering data. S.O.A.P. is an entirely new and unique design and has it's legacy to build.
